The fifth of five qualifying events for the 78th Arizona Open Championship. The qualifier is an 18-hole individual stroke play event with 9 successful qualifiers advancing to the the Championship proper at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, August 2-4. A total of 4 alternates will also be determined. The final order of alternates will be posted in the Championship Proper and is determined by the final size of the qualifying fields.

In the event of a tie for any of the qualifying potions or alternate positions there will be a hole by hole play-off to determine the winner immediately following the last stipulated round.

There are 92 qualifying spots available for the Championship through the five (5) Arizona Open qualifying events and the projected purse for the Championship will be approximately $120,000.

Successful qualifiers will need to register for the Championship proper and pay an additional fee of: Amateur ($160), PGA Member ($135), PGA Apprentice ($135) and Non-PGA Professional ($235).

Accepted entries shall be subject to the rules and regulations set forth for this competition by the SWPGA as well as any guidelines in place by the host facility. By entering this SWPGA-administered event, all participants agree that there are certain risks and accept personal and sole liability for all such risks, including, but not limited to, any health-related risks. Participants acknowledge and accept responsibility for maintaining their own personal safety, including but not limited to, utilizing their own PPE, practicing social distancing, and sanitizing themselves if they contact people or surfaces. All participants also understand that there is currently a risk of contracting COVID-19 at an SWPGA-administered event and accept personal responsibility and sole liability for that risk.

• Do not come on property if you have a cough, fever or other symptoms of illness.
Participants may register for ONLY one (1) qualifying event for the Arizona Open Championship. Competitors may transfer from one qualifier to another BEFORE the closing date on July 8, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. local time by notifying the Southwest PGA staff at 480-443-9002 or via email at info@southwestpga.com.

The Arizona Open Championship is a 54-hole, state open golf tournament open to both professional and amateur golfers nationwide.

The final Championship field will be 156 players, made up of place-winners from the Arizona Open Championship qualifying events and those players exempt from qualifying.

The Arizona Open Championship is administered by the Southwest PGA and has roots dating back to the inaugural event held in 1937. This historical championship has been held annually since 1953 and boasts an impressive list of past champions including Johnny Bulla, Dale Douglas and Curt Byrum.
The Arizona Open Championship is open to professionals and amateurs nationwide. Amateurs must have an active USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 10.0 at the time of entry.

Following 36 holes of play, the field will be cut to the low 50 scorers plus ties.

Prize money will only be paid to those participants that make the 36 hole cut and complete the final round. Amateurs will receive gift certificates redeemable at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club.
A $25.00 course fee must be paid to Las Vegas National in the golf shop prior to play.
